Saint Joseph Calasanz opened the Piarists\u2019 first school at Saint Dorothy Church in Rome on November 27, 1597. To this day, we recall this event as the Patrocinium of Saint Joseph Calasanz.
The Piarists of the Province of the United States and Puerto Rico have decided that we would like to celebrate this occasion with our friends, co-workers and benefactors. The idea is that, in each of the areas where we minister or have ministered, we will annually celebrate a Mass and offer a simple meal as a means of expressing our appreciation.
In November and early December, we held such gatherings in San Juan, Bronx, Manhattan, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. In 2022 we hope to hold similar gatherings in these and other lo-cations.
Mr. Kevin Owens, who is our Development Director, organized these events together with many Piarists. The guests had the opportunity to ask questions.
We would like to thank the many friends, who attended these events, and the many Piarists and friends, who helped with the meals and other particulars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eventos de Desarrollo Regional<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

San Jos\u00e9 de Calasanz abri\u00f3 la primera escuela de los escolapios en la Iglesia de Santa Dorotea en Roma, el 27 de noviembre de 1597. Hasta el d\u00eda de hoy, recordamos este evento como el Patrocinio de San Jos\u00e9 de Calasanz.
Los escolapios de la Provincia de los Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico han decidido que nos gustar\u00eda celebrar esta ocasi\u00f3n con nuestros amigos, compa\u00f1eros de trabajo y benefactores. La idea es que, en cada una de las \u00e1reas donde mi-nistramos o hemos ministrado, celebremos anualmente una misa y que ofrezcamos una comida sen-cilla como un medio para expresar nuestro agradecimiento.
En noviembre y a principios de diciembre, celebramos tales reuniones en San Juan, Bronx, Manhattan, Fort Lauderdale y Mia-mi. En el 2022 esperamos celebrar reuniones similares en estos y otros lugares.
El Sr. Kevin Owens, quien es nuestro Director de Desarrollo, organiz\u00f3 estos eventos junto con muchos de los escolapios. Los invitados tuvieron la oportunidad de hacer preguntas.
