On Saturday, July 9, we had the first outing for the whole group. The day before we were able to get to know each other a little better and enjoy La \u00daltima comuni\u00f3n de San Jos\u00e9 de Calasanz and the Gaztambide museum. Grateful for the welcome of Betania and the attention of Fr. Zacarias and Fr. Ivan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We headed to Getafe by bus, still a bit sleepy and already feeling the heat of these days. We divided into two large groups, Spanish-English and French to learn about Fr. Faustino Miguez\u2019s path to holiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were able to visit the San Faustino Miguez museum at the Calasancias school. We were welcomed by Mother Julia, who explained to us the key moments in Faustino\u2019s life, his experience as a Piarist educator, his priestly life always in search of healing not only of souls but of the body, and his role as founder. We were able to recognize a model of holiness in Piarist life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other group was received by Fr. Celestino and Fr. Crispin, and visited the community where the saint lived and the St. Faustino Miguez space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We make the change of groups after a lunch to regain strength offered by the Calasancias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later we were able to celebrate the Eucharist in the chapel of the Colegio de las Calasancias, where the remains of Saint Faustino are found. Fr. Romaric, from the province of Central Africa, presided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After lunch at the Piarist school, Fr. Crispin showed us the Getafe school, discovering the more than 275 years of history of the Piarist presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 16:00 we set off towards the Cerro de los \u00c1ngeles. Despite the heat, Father Ivan, Provincial of Betania, gave us an explanation of the history of Cerro de los \u00c1ngeles and the consecration of Spain to the Sacred Heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afterwards we returned to Gaztambide to pray together and share dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A long day where we were able to get to know each other better, share and celebrate the vocation received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El s\u00e1bado 9 de julio tuvimos la primera salida todo el grupo. El d\u00eda anterior pudimos conocernos un poco mejor y disfrutar de La \u00daltima comuni\u00f3n de San Jos\u00e9 de Calasanz y del museo de Gaztambide. Agradecidos por la acogida de Betania y la atenci\u00f3n del P. Zacarias y el P. Iv\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nos dirigimos a Getafe en autob\u00fas, todav\u00eda algo dormidos y ya sintiendo el calor de estos d\u00edas. Nos dividimos en dos grandes grupos, espa\u00f1ol-ingles y franc\u00e9s para conocer el camino de santidad del P. Faustino Miguez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pudimos visitar el museo de San Faustino Miguez en el colegio de las Calasancias. Fuimos acogidos por la madre Julia, quien  nos expuso los momentos claves de la vida de Faustino, su vivencia como educador escolapio, su vida sacerdotal siempre en busca de la sanaci\u00f3n no solo de las almas sino del cuerpo, y su faceta de fundador. Pudimos reconocer un modelo de santidad en la vida escolapia. El otro grupo fue recibido por el P. Celestino y el P. Crisp\u00edn, y visit\u00f3 la comunidad donde vivi\u00f3 el santo y el espacio S.  Faustino Miguez. Realizamos el cambio de grupos tras un almuerzo para recuperar fuerzas ofrecido por las Calasancias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\u00e1s tarde pudimos celebrar la eucarist\u00eda en la capilla del colegio de las Calasancias, donde se encuentran los restos San Faustino. Presidi\u00f3 el P.Romaric, de la provincia de \u00c1frica Central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despu\u00e9s de la comida en el colegio de los escolapios, el P. Crispin nos ense\u00f1\u00f3 el colegio de Getafe, descubriendo los m\u00e1s de 275 a\u00f1os de historia de presencia escolapia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A las 16:00 nos pusimos en marcha hacia el Cerro de los \u00c1ngeles. A pesar del calor, el P.Ivan, provincial de Betania, nos hizo una explicaci\u00f3n de la historia del Cerro de los \u00c1ngeles y la consagraci\u00f3n de Espa\u00f1a al Sagrado Coraz\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despu\u00e9s volvimos a Gaztambide para rezar juntos y compartir la cena. Un largo d\u00eda donde pudimos conocernos mejor, compartir y celebrar la vocaci\u00f3n recibida.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
